Heart of gold, made with stone.

Verbal comprehension with the intention of seeking a place willing to listen. After all, I can't be any worse off than when these words start to wear off. In the meantime, just tryin' to make sense of all the things I wasn't already aware of.

The efforts you’ve applied are halfhearted, and the excuses that come along with it are only lines that emphasize my understanding of having already heard it. Your alibis? I have heard it. And in the middle of this argument, we’ve reached a breaking point because instead of making (reach)able/(read)able/reasonable approaches, we’re flipping coins. Trying to obtain a side that won’t compel us to take any sides… now that’s irony. And in the end, my reliance on you only ends up hurting. Sooner than later, lines sprinkled with sugar cycle faster than the effort you can exert. Any words remaining turn bitter before things are able to get better. The bitter, the better, I guess. When they say everything gets better with time, I question how this is possible when disappointment only grows bigger with every “unintentional” lie.
